Alaverdi

This is where we called home while in Armenia. The area is in the northeast part of the country.

English Clubs

Laura worked as an English Teacher. Her main project consisted of after-school English Clubs for children ages 8-15 years old.

Arches Village

We visited this village nestled in northeast Armenia in August 2005. Our friends invited us to their village for the weekend. Our time was spent walking, cooking, playing cards, throwing the frisbee, picking cherries and conversing.

Christmas 2004

This is a small collection of Christmas in 2004. A few Peace Corps volunteers purchased presents for children in need.

Monasteries

Armenia has a wide range of monasteries to visit. Some are built recently while others are 1,000 years old.

Arpi Lake

The Environmental Education volunteers went here in July 2005. It is located north of Gyumri and very beautiful.
